There is nothing like this anywhere in New Mexico — or possibly the entire Southwest. Two full queen beds are built into the frames of real vintage Chevrolet trucks (one turquoise, one red), parked inside a fully themed drive-in movie theater. A giant projection screen fills one wall, a neon-lit jukebox plays music in the corner, and a full concession stand with Betty Boop, popcorn machine, and red & white striped awning stands ready to serve. Hand-painted murals cover every wall — including an alien on the right side. The ceiling fan is a biplane, the chandelier is a UFO. Donut and burger ottoman seating, a Coca-Cola diner table, and a film festival rug complete the experience.

Step into an entire Old West town — built indoors. The common area features a full-scale Sheriff's Office & Jail facade, a Billy the Kid portrait, outhouse door, wagon wheel, and a hand-painted sky mural on the cathedral ceiling. Two bedrooms branch off: the "Howdy" queen bedroom with a live-edge log bed frame and sunflower painting, and the jail bunk room with iron bar cell doors on authentic brick walls. Both bedrooms have private bathrooms — one with a stunning live-edge wood light fixture with LED strips running through it and double copper vessel sinks, the other with a rustic barrel vanity and mountain view window.

A dramatic open commons area with a hand-painted sky mural ceiling and corrugated metal roof houses log driftwood furniture, a brick fireplace, and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the pool and grounds. Off this common space is a twin bunk room tucked into a Western storefront facade (featuring a Shoe Repair sign, Jesse James Wanted poster, and lasso on the wall), plus a private balcony with barrel chairs and a New Mexico poster — overlooking the full property with mountain views.

Ruben didn't just convert a garage — he built another dimension. Every inch of the two-car garage has been transformed into a fully immersive Super Mario Bros world. Floor-to-ceiling hand-painted murals cover all four walls — Bowser, Princess Peach, Boo ghosts, Star, question mark blocks, Yoshi, mushrooms, Cut the Rope characters, and more. The ceiling is lined with 3D cloud formations lit by color-changing LED strips (blue, pink, purple) — you feel like you're inside the video game sky. The floor is painted with Pac-Man dots and turquoise lane markings. A life-size red Pac-Man ghost bean bag chair sits on the floor. Equipment includes full-size Pac-Man arcade cabinet, Big Buck Hunter, multiple tabletop arcade units, foosball table, "Game Room" neon sign, "Good Vibes Only" neon sign, and a Nintendo neon wall sign.

A dedicated private poker room that feels like a real casino back room. The centerpiece is a full-size professional poker table with 6 tufted black leather chairs, cup holders, and built-in chip trays — all under a stunning stained glass playing card chandelier. Exposed brick walls throughout. One wall features a dramatic poker chip explosion mural; another has a royal flush curtain backdrop. A slot machine sits in the corner, Guinness bar mirror hangs on the wall, and mounted ram and goat heads survey the table.

A chef-worthy kitchen and a dining experience unlike anything in Northern New Mexico. The kitchen features a 6-burner gas range, large granite island, stainless steel refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and full appliances — genuinely capable of handling catered events or large-group self-catering. The crown jewel is the custom Memory Lane epoxy resin dining table — a hand-crafted piece featuring live river wood inlay suspended under glass, with the Memory Lane logo and Zia hot air balloons painted around the border in navy blue. Memory Lane branded live-edge bar stools line the island. Sliding glass doors open directly to the pool and outdoor entertaining area. A live-edge wood chandelier with spiral LED pendant lights hangs above it all.

A detached warehouse space on the property, separate from the main house — with a wide-open garage-door entrance that opens straight onto the driveway. It comes stocked with dozens of folding tables and chairs on rolling carts, a full-size fridge, a Pepsi vending machine, and a set of Memory Lane branded cornhole boards. The open floor plan gives you the flexibility to set up your own DJ, dance floor, or party layout exactly how you want it.

For guests who want to bring their own RV or set up a tent, there's space available right on the property. This is dry parking only — there's no water or power hookup while you're there — but you're welcome to empty your tanks at a dump station on your way out.

This is a minimal-cost add-on, not a standard part of every booking, and it needs to be approved by Ruben ahead of time rather than assumed available. Mention it when you inquire and we'll confirm space and pricing for your dates.

One of the quieter perks of staying at Memory Lane is that you don't have to drive anywhere to fish. The Pecos River runs right along the back of the property — walk out the door, down to the bank, and you're fishing within minutes. No boat, no guide required, though local outfitters are available nearby if you'd like one.

What's in the water. The Pecos is known for rainbow trout (regularly stocked by New Mexico Game & Fish in many stretches) alongside wild, naturally-reproducing brown trout — with cutthroat trout showing up in some of the higher tributaries. It's a classic freestone river: riffles, deep pools, and undercut banks that make for good trout habitat and a genuinely scenic place to spend a few hours.

When to go. Fishing on the Pecos is technically year-round, but most guests find the sweet spot is late spring through fall. Snowmelt runoff typically clouds and swells the river through May, so late May through September tends to fish best, with October often producing beautiful fall colors along the bank as a bonus.

Licenses & rules. Anyone 12 or older needs a valid New Mexico fishing license, and specific bag limits and special regulations can vary by stretch of river and do change from year to year. We'd rather send you to the source than guess — grab your license online at wildlife.dgf.nm.gov or from a local vendor in the village of Pecos, and double check the current rules for the exact stretch you're fishing before you cast.

What to bring. A light spinning rod or a fly rod both work well here. Waders are nice to have but not required — there's plenty of easy bank access right on the property for anyone who'd rather keep their feet dry. If you forget something, tackle and licenses are available in the village of Pecos, a short drive away.
